Last month nokia announced couple of new phone models, most of them are candy bar type full touch phones. Nokia 5250 is a newest phone which announced in last week. the phone has a 2.8 inch resistive touchscreen which has 360 x 640 pixels resolution. the internal memory of this phone is 51MB and supports up to 16GB memory cards. according to it's features, this phone might be cheap.
it's not a 3G phone and wi-fi is not available. the main camera of this phone is 2MP and supports VGA format video recording. as other features Nokia 5250 has a FM radio and a good quality media player.

According to a new consumer study conducted by research firm Information Solutions Group on behalf of casual games publisher PopCap Games, 57% of AT&T wireless subscribers play mobile games.

The advent of the iPhone and its App Store have made the download and usage of mobile games easier than ever, and the mobile gaming industry is expected to grow more than 10% per year to hit $6.3 billion in user spending by 2011, according to a report from Gartner.

52% of gamers cited "distraction from daily life issues" as the top benefit derived from mobile gaming, followed by "relaxation and stress relief" (40%) and "improved mood" (12%)--in addition, 52% of gamers said they play mobile titles during work hours, and 14% selected "during my work day, when I need a short break" as the time when they most often play games on their phone.

60% of all mobile gamers cited "while waiting for an appointment" as a time when they play mobile games, with "during the day on weekdays" selected by 34% of respondents and "when traveling on vacation" and "on the weekend" tying for third at 25% each.

The Information Solutions Group study reports that 59% of AT&T gamers play games on their phone at least once a month, and 40% said they play weekly or more often--41% said they played less than once per month. 91% of mobile gaming sessions last fewer than 30 minutes, and 62% extend fewer than 15 minutes. In all, 71% of mobile gamers play games on their phone for less than an hour per week, although 52% of those who play daily said they play for three or more hours per week.

Asked to name "games you enjoy playing on your cell phone," 20% of AT&T gamers cited Tetris, followed by Bejeweled at 18% and Solitaire at 17%. Puzzle games topped popular genres at 66%, followed by card/casino titles at 51%--board games earned 15% of the vote, with action/adventure trailing at 11%.

86% of mobile gamers also play video games on one or more other devices, with 76% of gamers playing on computers, 41% on consoles and 24% on handheld game devices.

17% of mobile gamers consider their mobile handset their primary gaming device.

recently Acer launched couple of phones and it appears they were succeed. in 2010 December they released another mobile phone which runs Androis 2.2 OS. unlike their previous phone Liquid metal , this seems a mid range cheap phone. it has a 2.8 inch resistive touchscreen and the screen resolution of this phone is 240 x 320 pixels. since the touchscreen is resistive type, multi-touch is not available. also you might not be able to enjoy the all fancy features of android OS.
Acer beTouch E140 has 512MB internal memory and supports up to 32GB memory cards. it has a 7.2 HSDPA modem and has both bluetooth and wifi. as you know, Google playing a major role in mobile phone industry with their Android OS. previously they released a mobile phone under Google brand, the Google nexus one. it's an amazing, revolutionary phone and even now, nexus one is in the top 10 mobile phone list. Google recently announced the second version of this phone, Google nexus S. this time the hardware manufacturer of this phone is Samsung.
according to their press release, Google going to release this phone at the end of this year. and it's Android version is, v2.3 Gingerbread which released few days ago. the phone powered by a 1Ghz ARM Cortex A8 processor and it has a 512Mb RAM like previous phone.
Google has released couple of pictures of this phone and according to them, it has very nice design. it has rounded corners like iphone and Google Nexus S seems a very thin phone. it has a 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and the screen resolution is 480 x 800 pixels. there is some special thing with this screen. the glass is called Oleophobic surface which is scratch resistant. also it's not flat, it's a curved glass. the google nexus S also has touch sensitive controls at the bottom of the screen but there is no trackball like in previous version.

in navigation side, LG Optimus 2X has a GPS receiver with A-GPS support. and it comes with a digital compass. unlike many other phones, LG Optimus 2X has a HDMI port which outputs 720p video. it has very good media player and comes with lots of android applications.
