LG Optimus 3D is now available on the European market, Connect informs. The gadget was first introduced during the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona in February and offers full 3D experience allowing users to record, play and share video content with all their friends.
The phone integrates a Tri-Dual architecture, capable to open a new chapter in terms of smartphone performances, according to Jong-Seok Park, LG’s CEO.
But what does the Tri-Dual technology mean? Unlike other smartphones – namely those equipped with dual-core processors offering high processing speed – that do not take advantage of this technology because they lack proper single-channel configuration, LG Optimus 3D brings a dual-channel configuration which means that data transfer between the dual-core and dual-memory is instant. This translates into a better performance level, explained the Korean company.
Apart from the Tri-Dual architecture and the possibility of recording 3D 720p at 30 frames per second, the smartphone offers other features just as attractive: a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, HDMI 1.4 connectivity and a dual 5MP camera.
LG Optimus 3D runs Android 2.2 Froyo.
